Chelsea Clinton goes after a New York Times reporter for her book on Hillary

Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton shredded a New York Times reporter and author on Wednesday for a newly released nonfiction book that she claimed presents a fictitious account of her mother Hillary’s two presidential campaigns.

Clinton alleged on Twitter that the excerpts she has heard about thus far from Amy Chozick’s memoir, Chasing Hillary, have all contained false stories about the former first daughter.

“Hi Amy! The first sentence in the excerpt below is false – everything I’ve heard thus far that you write about me didn’t happen. We clearly have different definitions of nonfiction. Looking forward to your (belated) fact checking as relates to me. Thanks!” Clinton tweeted Wednesday morning to Chozick.

Chozick was one of the foremost reporters on Clinton, covering her campaigns in 2008 and 2016 for the Wall Street Journal and New York Times, respectively.

Another Twitter user asked Times journalist Maggie Haberman why the Times did not fact check Chozick’s book even though the Times was not Chozick’s publisher.

Chozick responded that she hired a professional fact checker.
