Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) didn’t hold back on his attacks against Hillary Clinton during a speech in New Hampshire on Saturday.
“I’m starting to worry that when Hillary Clinton travels, there’s gonna need to be two planes – one for her and her entourage, and one for her baggage,” Paul said at the Republican Leadership Summit, according to the New York Daily News.
“I’m concerned that the plane with the baggage is really getting heavy and teetering.”
This “baggage” was enough to help fill the rest of his speech with more hits at the former Secretary of State.
“She’s just sort of above the rules? She doesn’t have to use a government server?” the Presidential hopeful said about Clinton’s outrageous email scandal. Clinton used a personal server to conduct State business and then deleted the emails.
“It’s like, ‘Oh, well, my server was protected by the Secret Service.’ Does she think there’s, like, floppy disks in her basement?” he continued.
But Paul said his biggest concern about Clinton, and biggest concern he thinks voters should have, is how she handled the attack on the consulate in Benghazi.
“When I think of the scandals, the one that probably bothers me most is Benghazi. We have a potential nominee on the other side who wants to be the commander-in-chief,” he said, according to the Daily News.
“There is a bar you must cross: Will you defend the country? Will you provide security when it’s requested?” Paul said. “What I really fault Hillary Clinton for most is that for nine months, they pleaded, day in, day out … They pleaded for help,” he said of American diplomatic staff in Libya, including U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens who was killed in the attack.
