SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Augustana College has announced plans for a $30 million science building at the private, liberal arts school in Sioux Falls.
The Argus Leader reports (http://argusne.ws/QTzmCK ) that most of the money for the building will come from a $20 million grant from Sanford Health, with the remaining $10 million raised by smaller donors to the college.

Augustana President Rob Oliver said details about the building, including its location and size, have not been determined.
Chemistry professor Barrett Eichler said the science programs have “exploded in population and popularity” and school is running out of room.
Sanford Health chief operating officer Nate White said many of the company’s employees have come from Augustana College. White also is an Augustana graduate.
The donation is not a naming rights deal. The science building will be named after Sven Froiland, a biology professor at Augustana from 1946 to 1987. Froiland chaired the biology department and the natural sciences division, and helped design the college’s existing science facility.
