Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter may want to update his Senate Web site soon so he doesn’t confuse more people about his party affiliation.
More than a day after Specter made his announcement on switching parties, his official senate Web page — specter.senate.gov — still identified him as a Republican.
And as a sign the average person moves faster than any of his staffers, his Wikipedia page was changed to identify him as a Democrat fewer than 12 hours after his switch.
“Democrat in his youth, Specter joined the Republicans in 1966 and was a member until April 28, 2009, when he announced his switch to the Democratic Party,” the page states.
Who would’ve guessed the most accurate biographical information on a senator isn’t from his official government page?
