With less than a week until Election Day, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump trails Hillary Clinton in Florida and Pennsylvania, two crucial swing states, and leads in Nevada and Arizona, according to a new CNN poll released Wednesday.
Clinton leads Trump by 2 points in Florida (49-47 percent) and 4 points in Pennsylvania (48-44), two key battleground states that are crucial to his pathway to attaining 270 electoral votes.
Trump, meanwhile, has taken control in Nevada, according to the poll, where he leads by 6 points, taking 49 percent support to Clinton’s 43 percent. He also leads in Arizona, where the Clinton campaign has made a recent push following encouraging poll numbers, holding a 5-point advantage (49-44).
Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson cracks 5 percent in both Nevada and Arizona, 4 percent in Pennsylvania and 3 percent in Florida.
While the numbers are encouraging for Trump in Nevada and Arizona, Florida and Pennsylvania are two states his team has focused on in the final weeks of the campaign. Trump himself is campaigning exclusively in Florida on Wednesday and for part of Thursday.
He also campaigned in Pennsylvania on Tuesday and is set to dispatch Melania Trump to campaign there on Thursday in what will be her first speech since the Republican National Convention.
The polls were all conducted from Oct. 27-Nov 1, and have a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percent.
As for Senate contests in the states, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio holds a slim 1-point lead (49-48) over Rep. Patrick Murphy. In Pennsylvania, Democratic challenger Katie McGinty leads by 5 points over Sen. Pat Toomey, taking 51 percent to the incumbent Republican’s 46 percent.
Republicans remain hopeful in Nevada, where Rep. Joe Heck leads Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto by 2 points (49-47). Longtime Sen. John McCain is also in a good position six days before election day, leading with 52 percent to Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick’s 39 percent.
