Hillary Clinton trolls Republicans on Twitter

Hillary Clinton took to Twitter Tuesday night to take on Republican speakers at the Republican National Convention who attacked the former secretary of state for her use of personal email and other policies.

Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.V., spoke Tuesday night at the convention in Cleveland, hitting Clinton for her clean energy proposals that could put coal miners and coal companies out of business.

But Clinton tweeted that Capito hasn’t always been so critical of the Democratic presumptive nominee.

“You’re too kind, @SenCapito,” Clinton tweeted, along with a quote from Capito from September 2008 that says “Senator Clinton showed the country that women are ready and able to lead.”

Capito made the remark while serving as a representative in the U.S. House and speaking at a women’s leadership summit, according to a local Fox report.

Clinton also took on New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who delivered a speech Tuesday night in which he played the role of prosecutor and made the case against the presumptive Democratic nominee.

“If you think Chris Christie can lecture anyone on ethics, we have a bridge to sell you. http://nyti.ms/2asodda #RNCinCLE,” she tweeted in response.
