‘Outsmarted by a turd’: Ann Coulter calls Tulsi Gabbard ‘Senator’

Conservative political commentator and author Ann Coulter scathingly corrected a Twitter user called “Catturd” after he tweeted that Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard had voted for the impeachment resolution on Thursday.

“For all you foolish Tulsi Gabbard fans,” @catturd2 said, “She just voted for the illegal impeachment coup. She’s just a better looking Nancy Pelosi.”

Coulter stated that Gabbard was a Senator and had therefore not been part of the vote in the House of Representatives. “No she didn’t,” Coulter fired back. “Tulsi is a SENATOR, meaning she’s in the SENATE and doesn’t vote on HOUSE resolutions.”

Gabbard, 38, who is also a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, has served in the House of Representatives since 2013. She is not a Senator and did vote “yes” along with all but two other House Democrats to take the next step toward impeaching President Trump. Her home state is currently represented in the upper chamber of Congress by Democratic Sens. Mazie Hirono and Brian Schatz.

Twitter users were quick to note Coulter’s error and come to the defense of Catturd. “Political commentator has no idea which house of Congress a high-profile politician is a member of,” one user said.

“She’s not a senator, she’s a rep,” Mindy Robinson said. “You got owned by Catturd.”

“Out smarted by a turd, Ann?” Catturd said of Coulter’s attempt to shame him on the internet.

Catturd also responded to Coulter’s bungled correction with some other inaccurate suggestions for her. “Lebron James is a great quarterback,” he said of the star basketball player.

Coulter later admitted the mistake and suggested it was the “first ever.”

“This should make international headlines,” she tweeted of her erroneous assertion that Catturd mistook Gabbard’s position in Congress. “Coulter Makes Mistake! First Ever!”

Coulter also suggested that Gabbard should be in the Senate and joked that she personally wielded the power to make that adjustment. “Apparently, in some quarters, people have disputed my ability to advance congressmen to the Senate,” she said.
