WHAT: The National Center for Public Policy Research reports that the National Science Foundation gave a $541,184 stimulus grant to Penn State Professor Michael Mann. The stimulus money is supposed to create jobs.
WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: One of the key figures in the Climategate scandal, Mann is currently under investigation by Penn State for allegedly manipulating data in his debunked “hockey stick” graph, which supposedly depicted a rapid rise in global temperatures caused by industrial activity. Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate is 8.5 percent.
