JAMIN GALLMAN
POLY, SR., MIDDLE DISTANCE
The senior helped lead the Engineers to their first Baltimore City and Class 2A-1A state titles. He won the 500 meters at the state meet and made key contributions on relay teams. Tennessee, Villanova and Georgia Tech have shown interest in him.

Williams got the most out of Poly as he guided the team to its first city and state titles in program history. Much of the Engineers? success came from Williams putting his athletes in the right situations, like Jamin Gallman in the relays and the 500.

JUSTIN MURDOCK
GLEN BURNIE, SR., SPRINTS
Murdock is arguably the best sprinter in the state. His 6.21-second time in the state 55-meter dash was the best time in the country.
DARREN BELL
ARUNDEL, SR., HURDLES
Bell finished third in the 4A-3A state meet in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.72. He also won regional (7.71) and Anne Arundel County (7.82) titles.
QUENTIN JAMES
RESERVOIR, SR., SPRINTS
James this winter proved a versatile runner, taking second in the 3A-2A state 300 and third in the 55 hurdles. At regionals, he won the 55 hurdles and earned runner-up honors in the 300.
CHRIS WAGNER
FALLSTON, SR., MIDDLE DISTANCE
Wagner placed first in the state 800 with a time of 1:57.04, which set a state 3A record.
MALIK ZAFAR
MEADE, SR., DISTANCE
Zafar placed second in the state 1,600 and eighth in the 3,200. He won both of those events in the Anne Arundel County championships, as well.
GRAHAM BAZELL
ATHOLTON, SO., DISTANCE
Bazell set a state meet record by winning the 3,200 in 9:30.06. He also finished second in the 1,600 after winning that event and the 3,200 at the Howard County and 3A-2A West Region meets.
BEN BURDEN
NORTH CARROLL, SR., SHOT PUT
Burden finished fourth in the state with a throw of 48 feet, 4 inches. He also won the Carroll County title with a throw of48-11.
HENRY WATTS
OLD MILL, SR., HIGH JUMP
Watts won the Anne Arundel County title with a state-best jump of 6-7. He and Damascus’ Jamal Currica both cleared 6-6 at states, but Watts finished second after having more misses.
SAM WILSON
SOUTH RIVER, SR., POLE VAULT
Wilson enjoyed a clean sweep this year with titles at the Anne Arundel County, regional and state meets. He also had two vaults of at least 13 feet.
GLEN BURNIE, 4X200 RELAY
The Gophers? quartet of Ron Day (Jr.), Justin Murdock (Sr.), Dwayne Gordon (Sr.) and Andre Pitts (Sr.) finished fourth in the state with a time of 1:31.3 after winning the Anne Arundel County title in 1:32.4.
MEADE, 4X400 RELAY
The Mustangs? squad of Matthew Brinkley (Jr.), Derrhyl Duncan (Sr.), Dehmar Smiles (Jr.) and Anya Uzoh (Jr.) won the Anne Arundel County title in 3:30.1 and placed eighth in the state at 3:32.8.
DULANEY, 4X800 RELAY
The Lions? team of Graham Peck (Sr.), John Milhausen (Sr.), Roswell Friend (Sr.) and Vince Walsh (Sr.) won the Baltimore County title in 8:52.4 and placed third at states in 8:11.97.
