Israel was preparing its citizens on Tuesday for potential strike by Iranian forces based in Syria and warned of a severe response, an Israel Defense Force spokesman said.
“The IDF has detected irregular Iranian activity in Syria and is preparing the civilian population on the Golan Heights accordingly, as well as defensive systems,” Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus, international spokesman and head of social media for the Israel Defense Force, said in a tweet. “Any aggression against Israel will be met with a severe response.”
