‘The officer drew their handgun instead of their Taser’: Quotes of the week

The week that was was dominated by a tragic incident in Minnesota in which a police officer “accidentally” shot and killed Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old black man, once again leading to debate and discourse over police brutality and race in the United States.

In Washington, D.C., President Joe Biden announced he would withdraw all U.S. forces from Afghanistan by Sept. 11, the 20th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center.
