THE DAILY OUTRAGE: Blowing glass isn’t a national interest

WHO: The Department of the Interior

WHAT: The Museum of Glass received a $50,000 grant from the federal recovery act last year to retrain two part-time “educational interpreters” in the museum’s live glassmaking studio.

WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: Claire Yuckert, one of the “educational interpreters” saved by the bailout, was quoted as saying, “I get to watch glass get blown all day. It’s a pretty sweet gig.” Your tax dollars hard at work, ladies and gentlemen.

WHERE TO VENT: Contact the department’s inspector general at 202-208-5745.
