Secretary of State Mike Pompeo expressed “sorrow” over the downing of a Russian military plane, saying the deaths of the 15-person crew underscore the danger of the Syria crisis.
“The United States expresses sorrow for the death of the aircrew members of the Russian plane that was downed by Syrian regime anti-aircraft fire,” Pompeo said on Tuesday.
