President Obama triggered a fresh wave of fury at home after he was photographed in front of a massive Che Guevara sculpture in Cuba Monday.
Visiting Havana’s Revolution Square, Obama stood in front of a Cuban ministry building featuring a five-story representation of Guevara.
Outrage on Twitter came fast.

Obama likes to accuse his opponents of “standing on the wrong side of history.” The irony here is sad. #CubaVisit pic.twitter.com/h8shb84Ha8

Only way this picture could have worse optics is if Obama was standing in front of cells holding political prisoners pic.twitter.com/JHS9EuD8FU

“So, you’re sure that Che didn’t hate blacks and gays?”
“Like 80% sure, yeah”
