Rudy Giuliani’s communications director resigns

Allen, 22, said she will be succeeded as communications director by former Lindsay Lohan spokesman Todd Shapiro, who has also represented Trump properties and Hooters.

“As I reflect, I am proud of the accomplishments we achieved. One of which was building Rudy Giuliani’s Common Sense podcast from conception to one of the top political podcasts in the country in under a year,” Allen said in a statement reported by the Daily Beast. “Looking forward, I once again feel blessed to have the opportunity for continued growth and development within a rising tech startup.”

Allen, leading Giuliani’s team, managed the former New York City mayor‘s social media presence.

Hired as a 20-year-old in August 2019 while attending Liberty University, Allen helped Giuliani as he represented former President Donald Trump through impeachment proceedings and 2020 election legal challenges.

Giuliani reportedly laid off other staff and independent contractors earlier this year, with former employees telling Politico they were informed it was because he was trying to cut costs as he faced mounting legal woes and stories suggesting financial hardship.
