Apparently, Facebook doesn’t “like” Ebola.
The social media site will soon feature an Ebola button that will allow users to donate to three different charities dedicated to combatting the virus, as reports the Associated Press.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the project in a video post on his Facebook page Thursday, and the video already has thousands of likes and shares.

“The Ebola epidemic in West Africa has become one of the biggest health crises in the world,” says Zuckerberg in the video. “Thousands of lives have already been lost and if we don’t act now, then many more people will suffer and Ebola could become a longterm global crisis.”
The company will also donate 100 satellite communication terminals to West Africa in order to make communication via phone and Internet easier in areas affected by the virus.
“These units will provide connectivity in places where there is no coverage,” explained head of spectrum policy and connectivity planning at Facebook Chris Weasler. “In other cases, [they will be] adding more capacity to networks increasingly strained from the influx of responders.”
Finally, Facebook will partner with UNICEF to share information about the virus with affected countries to help them better combat it.
In October, Zuckerberg and his wife donated $25 million to help the CDC combat Ebola.
Thus far, the American Red Cross has raised $3.7 million for the Ebola fight.
