Most people in the media have reacted to Donald Trump’s candidacy much in the same way a hemophilic reacts to sharp objects.
Rapper Nicki Minaj had a more levelheaded opinion about Trump and actually (sort of) defended his ideas in an interview with Billboard on Thursday.

“There are points he has made that may not have been so horrible if his approach wasn’t so childish,” Minaj said to Billboard. “But in terms of entertainment — I think he’s hilarious. I wish they could just film him running for president. That’s the ultimate reality show.”
She did not comment further on which points — whether they be political correctness, immigration, or border enforcement — Minaj was referring to. The interview was conducted before Trump’s comments about putting a pause on Muslim immigration, so she was not asked about that.
The rapper also spoke during the interview how she found Hillary Clinton’s struggle of being the only woman in the room relatable, as well as commenting on the war on drugs and how she was moved by President Obama’s visit to prison inmates.
