2020 presidential front-runner Joe Biden told Sen. Kamala Harris to “go easy on me, kid” during the introductions to Wednesday night’s presidential debate.
Biden was the first candidate introduced and proceeded to walk out on to the stage. Harris was the second candidate announced. When she walked out, they shook hands and exchanged words.
After greeted him by saying, ‘Hey, Joe,” the former vice president told her: “Go easy on me, kid.” The California senator did not engage, responding by saying: “How you doing?” He said: “Good.” She then checked: “You good?” He confirmed: “I’m good.”

Harris attacked Biden at the last presidential debate. She pressed him on comments he made earlier in the month about working with two segregationist senators in James O. Eastland of Mississippi and Herman Talmadge of Georgia.
“I do not believe you are a racist,” Harris said. “But I also believe and it’s personal and it was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States senators who built their reputations and career on the segregation of race in this country.”
Biden, who appeared to be taken aback by the attack, has prepared for similar attacks in Wednesday night’s debate.
