Authorities are continuing to search for a swimmer who disappeared and is believed to have drowned in Triadelphia Reservoir.

Three people were swimming the reservoir near Route 97 in Brookeville when one went under Friday evening, according to the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.

The WSSC and rescue crews from Montgomery and Howard counties searched for 21-year-old Bruce Yansen Friday evening but could not find him. Rescue efforts continued Saturday.

The Triadelphia Recreation Area and the Big Branch Recreation Area are closed while authorities continue the search. Greenbridge and Pig Tail recreation areas are open, but no boats can be launched, according to WSSC.
