President Trump on Friday offered to apologize for retweeting a video from a far-right British activist that angered the United Kingdom last year.
In an interview with Piers Morgan, Trump said he didn’t know who the activist was at the time.
“Here’s what’s fair,” Trump told Morgan. “If you’re telling me these are horrible people, horrible racist people, I would certainly apologize if you would like me to do that.”

The anti-Muslim video Trump retweeted was made by Jayda Fransen, one of the leaders of the British nationalist movement Britain First.
The retweet angered many in the U.K. and led Prime Minister Theresa May to blast Trump over Twitter.
