‘Quick reflexes’: Chelsea Clinton hits back at GOP congressman who mocked her parents on Christmas

Chelsea Clinton replied to Rep. Paul Gosar after he mocked her parents in his Christmas greeting.

On Christmas Eve, the Arizona Republican posted a clip from a 60 Minutes interview Bill and Hillary Clinton did in 1992 amid infidelity rumors. During the interview, a light broke above Hillary’s head, prompting the former first lady to shout out, “Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!”

Gosar shared the clip with the caption, “Remember the reason for the season!”

Clinton, 39, responded to Gosar’s tweet on Thursday morning, writing, “At 11am on Christmas Eve, we were making cookies for Santa. Thank you Congressman [Gosar] for reminding me of my dad’s quick reflexes!”

Gosar, 61, was reelected to Congress in 2018 despite the efforts of his six siblings, who all endorsed his opponent David Brill in a campaign advertisement. While his siblings may not have supported him, his mother had his back and endorsed his reelection. The congressman used his mother’s endorsement to jab his siblings, tweeting, “I guess I really am Mom’s favorite!”
