Man shot delivering food in East Baltimore

A 51-year-old Asian man was robbed and shot multiple times as he delivered food in East Baltimore Saturday night, police said.

Police received a call at about 11:50 p.m. for a serious shooting in the 800 block of Webb Court, responding to find the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso, said Detective Donny Moses, a spokesman for Baltimore City Police.

The victim, whom Moses declined to name, is listed in critical condition at an area hospital, police said.

The man was delivering food from the Asian food store he owns when an armed robber approached, shot the man and took his money before fleeing on foot, Moses said.

Teens injured when truck topples down ravine

One teenager remained at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with critical injuries after the truck he was riding in toppled down a 100-foot ravine in Anne Arundel County, officials said.

Justin Scott Jones, 18, of Davidsonville, was taken by helicopter early Saturday morning to Shock Trauma after officials found him thrown from his upside down Dodge Ram pickup truck in a ravine nearly a mile from the road in the area of Lavall Drive and Arbor Court in Davidsonville, said Anne Arundel County Fire Battalion Chief Matthew Tobia.

Jones owned the truck but had been a passenger, according to Anne Arundel police.

Anthony Carlos Mendez, 17, also of Davidsonville, was driving the truck and sustained serious injuries, but he had been treated at Shock Trauma and released, Tobia said.
