Nikki Haley insists she wants to squash rumors that she is being considered as a replacement for Vice President Mike Pence.
“Enough of the false rumors,” Haley tweeted Wednesday. “Vice President Pence has been a dear friend of mine for years. He has been a loyal and trustworthy VP to the President. He has my complete support.”
The tweet included a photo of herself and Pence at the United Nations.

Speculation has swirled for months that President Trump might swap Pence for Haley in 2020. The former South Carolina governor was his United Nations ambassador until December 2018.
Trump said in June that Pence will “100%” remain his vice president. He was asked about it again on Sunday and responded that Pence has been a “fantastic” vice president, and he “wouldn’t be thinking about” making a change.
A senior administration official told the Washington Examiner, “The only person talking about Nikki Haley as VP is Nikki Haley herself.”
