Uh oh.

In newly obtained video posted by American Commitment, President Obama is seen back in 2006 introducing Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber as someone he “[stole] ideas from liberally.”

The video surfaced just a day after Obama denounced Gruber’s comments about the health care law’s “lack of transparency” and the “stupidity of the American voter” as statements with which he disagrees.

Gruber has become infamous over the last week after several videos of him touting Obamacare for the way it fooled the American people went viral.

“You have already drawn some of the brightest minds from academia and policy circles,” Obama says in the 2006 video, introducing Gruber and other academics. “Many of them I have stolen ideas from liberally, people ranging from Robert Gordon to Austan Goolsbee, Jon Gruber, my dear friend, Jim Wallis here … who can inform what are sometimes dry policy debates with a prophetic voice.”
