Biden approval among Hispanic voters at new low as midterm elections loom: Poll

President Joe Biden’s standing among Hispanic voters has sunk even further than his already low approval rating with members of the community, according to a new poll.

Biden is polling at 19% favorability among Hispanic voters according to a Quinnipiac survey released Wednesday, as many leave the Democratic Party behind. And 70% disapprove of Biden’s job performance, while 11% were undecided. The survey polled over 1,500 respondents between July 14 and 18 and has a margin of error of 2.5 percentage points.

Hispanics had the lowest view of Biden among any demographic in this poll and fell 10 percentage points behind the average approval rating of 31%. Quinnipiac’s poll also shows a sharp decrease from a New York Times/Siena poll earlier this month that showed 32% of Hispanic voters strongly or somewhat approving of Biden’s job performance.

Quinnipiac’s poll showed that 70% of Hispanics disapprove of Biden, while 11% remain undecided. For the party it favors to take the House of Representatives in the November midterm elections, the same demographic slightly favors the Republican Party, with 42% and 40% supporting the Democratic Party to remain in control. Another 18% were undecided on House races.
