The White House on Tuesday denied reports that it is keeping “dossiers” of information about specific reporters and journalists.
“That is absolutely not true. There are no dossiers,” Spicer said during Tuesday’s White House press briefing. He then looked down at his podium and joked, “there’s a binder that I put right here and that’s about it.”
Questions over alleged “dossiers” emerged Monday in a Washington Post report over a confrontation between White House reporter April Ryan and Trump administration official Omarosa Manigault.
The Post report said that “during their altercation, Ryan said Manigault told her that she was among several African-American journalists who were the subject of White House ‘dossiers.'”
Manigault and Ryan were previously friends, according to the report.
