Failed Democratic presidential candidate Rep. Tim Ryan left in the middle of President Trump’s State of the Union address, saying he “had enough.”
Ryan, the Ohio congressman whose 2020 bid for the White House barely took off the ground, called the speech “all fake” and compared it to “watching professional wrestling.”
I just walked out of the #StateOfTheUnion. I’ve had enough. It’s like watching professional wrestling. It’s all fake.

Prior to walking out, he tweeted, “The President spent the first half of his #SOTU speech talking about how great the economy is for American workers, but if that’s true, why are so many Ohioans working 2 or 3 jobs and struggling to make ends meet?”

Trump’s address to Congress took place amid his trial in the Senate for impeachment charges passed in the House last year. A vote on the charges is expected on Wednesday, and he is likely to be acquitted.
