Flynn failed to initially disclose payments from Russian companies

President Trump’s former national security adviser, Mike Flynn, reportedly failed to disclose payments from a state-run media network in Russia.

Flynn’s financial disclosure form that was submitted to ethics officials in February did not include a reported $45,000 payment from Russia Today.

The Daily Beast reported that an amended disclosure statement given to the White House counsel’s office on Friday claimed Flynn received more than $5,000 — the threshold for reporting — from the Russian propaganda network.

Flynn also disclosed in the new filing that he was paid for speeches to two other Russian companies.

A source told the Daily Beast that Flynn’s resignation stalled efforts to file an accurate disclosure form.

Flynn resigned in mid-February after he misled top administration officials about his communications with Russian ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak during the presidential election.

The FBI is currently investigating whether Trump associates colluded with Russia as it sought to influence the presidential election.
