Actor Denzel Washington, the Obamas, and the “safe room”… Now there’s a good start to a story.
Washington appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Thursday night and recounted his experience with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle seeing him in a play.
“So my dressing room…I shouldn’t say this. But I will!” Washington said with a huge grin. “My dressing room was on the ground floor and they put a little dot on my door. A little, I think, green dot. I’m like, ‘What is that?’ They told me this was the safe house, the safe room for the president because there is a dressing room and there is a bathroom and a couple of doors so they can put them in there if something happened.”
“So I won’t say who, but someone very important had to use the restroom, so they used my restroom. I had to wait outside of my own dressing room while someone very important, I won’t say who, used the…”
“Interesting, so the safe room is the…” Kimmel asked.
“The safe room is the safe room,” Washington replied.
