With the surge of Donald Trump, so comes the surge of the Google searches for “How to Move to Canada.” People will Google just about anything and everything. But, they may be serious. The hype has been so high that Canadian immigration website is asking for patience.

The Canadian government is serious too. They’ve introduced a bill to grant citizenship faster. A NowThis video also featured shots of the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, tweets about moving to Canada, and clips from Brian Calvert who pokes fun at America’s race problem.

Likely bringing on the surge was a website from Cape Breton island located in Nova Scotia, Canada. The site invited Americans to move there if Trump was elected president.

Eric and Donald Jr., Trump’s sons, recently appeared on Fox & Friends, and in response to the ads, Donald Jr. said he would “buy them their airfare.” As Fox Insider also reported, the Canadian island may have some American celebrity takers, including:

  • Rosie O’Donnell
  • Rev. Al Sharpton
  • Jon Stewart
  • Whoopi Goldberg
  • Raven Symone
  • Samuel L. Jackson
  • Cher

Whether one is in support of Trump or not, it’s not likely the above celebrities will be so sorely missed.
