Sports marketing firm boasts creativity

For Marc Winter, there is no box.

President and sole employee of Baltimore-based TEN24 Sports Marketing and Media, Winter said his philosophy can be summed up in one word: “boundary-less.”

“I have experience working with companies locally and nationally,” he said. “I?m looking to put together the best programs possible based on advertisers? needs instead of what the inventory dictates.”

Winter started out marketing for the New Jersey Nets, and gradually worked his way up to sports sales for Infinity Broadcasting, where he created campaigns within play-by-play for the Mets, Yankees, Giants, Ravens and more. In 2005, he founded TEN24.

Winter currently creates campaigns for Wings n Things and does work for companies outside of the Baltimore area, like LG Mobile and Toshiba.

Wings n Things Marketing Director Katie Carroll said the company has been with Winter for about two years.

“He has been very good as far as staying on top of different things, and anything sports related,” she said. “[Winter] is very personable, since it?s a smaller firm. He knows what we want.”

Winter says he is looking to grow his company and hopes to be in a large office in the next 12 to 18 months. But no matter how big the company may get, he stresses that one thing will stay the same.

“We have basically a free thinking philosophy,” he said. “There?s no boundary to what we can do.”
