Businessman Donald Trump released a tirade of tweets on Christmas Eve against Jeb Bush, describing him as “sad” and urging him to “stop throwing your money down the drain” on his campaign.
In a series of tweets beginning on Thursday afternoon and continuing into the evening, Trump hit back at Bush over a recent ad in which Bush describes himself as the “only one” willing to take on Trump, as he did in the recent debate in which he attacked Trump as the “chaos candidate.”
“Poor Jeb Bush spent $50 million on his campaign,” Trump tweeted. “I spent almost nothing. He’s bottom (and gone). I’m top (by a lot). That’s what U.S. needs.”
Trump then followed up by writing, “In the ridiculous Jeb Bush ad about me, Jeb is speaking to me during the debate, but doesn’t allow my answer, which destroys him – SO SAD!”
He then added, “Wow, even lowly Rand Paul has just past Jeb Bush in the new CNN Poll. Jeb is at 3%. I’m at 39%. Stop throwing your money down the drain!”
