It’s only been open a week, but the historic Howard Theatre is already being used as a backdrop for political fundraisers. On Tuesday night the Bidens — Vice President Joe Biden along with his adult kids Ashley Biden and Hunter Biden — will take over the newly renovated space in Shaw for an Obama Victory Fund 2012 reception. Former Redskins player Clinton Portis is also listed as a “special guest.” Tickets for the fundraiser range from $44 to $2,500, according to the Sunlight Foundation’s Party Time blog. Music will be provided by deejay D-Nice.
