Outspoken feminist Lena Dunham thinks men are “at the baseline very stupid.”
The actress appeared in a web-only clip for “The Tonight Show” Thursday during which she gave some “unqualified advice” about the difference between having blond and brown hair.
Responding to a question submitted by a viewer about whether the actress had more fun as a blonde or brunette, Dunham explained that men gave her more attention as a blond because, well, they’re “stupid.”
“I think that, as a blonde, I definitely felt that men — because they are at the baseline very stupid — responded to me in an exciting and interesting way, held a lot of doors,” said Dunham.
“As a brunette,” she continued, “I feel more tapped into my central intelligence.”
So, she called both men and blondes stupid in the same mouthful. That’s sure a way to encourage equality of the sexes.
However, Dunham doesn’t seem to believe Howard Stern is so “stupid.” During her interview with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show,” she labeled the radio host an “outspoken feminist.”
“I really care about Howard,” she told Fallon. “I really think he’s like a voice for important causes. I think he’s an outspoken feminist.”
“He’s one of the people who really speaks out on issues that matter to me and matter to a lot of women, and I think that we should be thankful that he’s in the world,” added Dunham.
It’s worth mentioning that she also said Stern resembles a “cartoon of a female Jewish horse.”
