DOWAGIAC, Mich. (AP) — An Indian tribe has decided to open a new casino in southwestern Michigan.
WOOD-TV (http://bit.ly/LIdCbR ) reports that the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians decided Wednesday to build casino in Dowagiac in Cass County, about 70 miles south-southwest of Grand Rapids.
The Pokagon Band already operates the Four Winds Casinos in New Buffalo and Hartford.
The station says construction will start in the next few months.
The new casino will be called Four Winds Dowagiac and is to open next year with 200 slot machines, four table games, a multi-use space and a restaurant.
