Late Night host Seth Meyers may actually be the person most excited by Donald Trump’s announcement of his presidential campaign.
Meyers’ giddy excitement about the real-estate mogul’s foray into the 2016 political realm was undeniable as he played Trump’s announcement Tuesday night as covered by the Fox Business Network, periodically pausing it to make his own comments.
Not only did he take aim at Trump and the Fox Business Network hosts’ commentary of the announcement, but Meyers the entire Republican primary candidate field was not safe from Meyers jabs either:
Meyers: “A dumping ground for everybody else’s problems? Then what’s Celebrity Apprentice? … Oh, I remember now – Celebrity Apprentice is a contest with 16 participants who will do or say anything to win, that sounds familiar too. Oh, Right! That’s also the Republican primary.”
Ouch.
“Welcome aboard, Donald Trump,” Meyers ended.
