Muskegon museum gets piece of bowling history

MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) — The Muskegon Heritage Museum is getting a piece of bowling history.

MLive.com reports (http://bit.ly/NlLyi8 ) Thursday the museum is getting a pinsetter that formerly was used for training at Brunswick’s training school in Muskegon.

The city’s long-running reign as the bowling-equipment capital ended after Brunswick Corp. in 2005 moved many of its manufacturing jobs to Mexico.

The company says the connection between Brunswick and Muskegon made the city a natural place to donate the machine.
