Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse started a nickname competition on Twitter Friday for Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt.
The nicknames refer to Pruitt’s penchant for Ritz-Carlton lotion, Chick-fil-A franchises, and a mattress from the Trump hotel.
Pruitt nickname competition heats up! I had “Very Important Pruitt” after his self description. But should it be “Lotion Detector”? “Big Snack Attack”? “Used Hotel Mattress King”? “Chick-Fil-A Magnet”? Add your nominations!

Whitehouse listed those in the running for the top nickname spot.
“I had ‘Very Important Pruitt’ after his self description” during a Fox News interview when he referred to himself as a very important “person,” Whitehouse said. “But should it be ‘Lotion Detector’? ‘Big Snack Attack’? ‘Used Hotel Mattress King’? ‘Chick-Fil-A Magnet’?”
Each of the nicknames refer to one of the scandals to be reported on Pruitt in the last 48-72 hours.
He asked one aide, Sydney Hupp, to set up a meeting with the president of Chick-fil-A to explore franchise opportunities for his wife. She was no longer at the EPA when the news of the call broke. Pruitt asked her sister, EPA director of scheduling and advance Millan Hupp, to buy a mattress from Trump’s hotel in Washington. Millan Hupp resigned Wednesday.
The most recent reports say Pruitt often asked his personal security detail to obtain lotion for him from a Ritz-Carlton hotel and pick up his dry cleaning, while asking aides to do coffee and snack runs during the week.
Whitehouse invited the public to add their own nickname nominations to the list.
