Former Maryland state delegate dies after house fire

Former Maryland State Delegate Christine Miller Jones has died, days after she was rescued from a fire at her Temple Hills home, officials said.

The fire occurred Thursday morning at Jones’ home in the 3500 block of Everest Drive in Temple Hills. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and removed Jones from the first floor of the house.
