Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, is performing strong in the polls nine months away from Election Day.
Former Gov. Charlie Crist, a Democrat, looks to have the best chance at unseating DeSantis, but data suggest the incumbent would win if the election occurred this week, according to Mason Dixon Polling and Strategy.
The numbers show DeSantis with 51% of the vote, Crist with 43%, and 6% remaining undecided.

Against Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, DeSantis wins with 53% against Fried’s 42%, with 5% remaining undecided.
DeSantis also beats Miami Sen. Annette Taddeo with 53% of the vote compared to Taddeo’s 37%, with 10% remaining undecided.
The Republican governor is also sporting strong approval numbers.
According to the data, DeSantis has a 53% approval rating.

Roughly 43% disapprove, and 4% remain unsure, according to the data.
