The FBI Charlotte office released footage of missing girl Madalina Cojocari, 11, where she was last seen exiting a school bus two days before her mother said she saw her last.
Cojocari was last seen on Nov. 23 at her home in Cornelius, North Carolina. However, the 20-second footage shared on Tuesday afternoon shows the girl exiting a school bus with three other students at 4:59 p.m. on Nov. 21.
“This is the last time investigators have independent confirmation of when Madalina was last seen,” the FBI wrote on Twitter. “We are seeking additional witnesses outside of the family to narrow down the exact timeline of when she disappeared.”

Employees from Charlotte-Mecklenburg School, where Cojocari attended, made repeated attempts to contact the girl’s mother, Diana Cojocari, to inquire why she was absent from school, per a Cornelius Police Department press release. After several attempts, Diana Cojocari finally went to the school on Dec. 15 to alert the school that she was missing.
FBI Charlotte continues to urge the public to plaster photos of Cojocari’s face all over town to assist in the investigation to find her.
“We know how much you want to help #FindMadalina. Right now, the best way our community can assist is to flood the area with her precious face,” the FBI tweeted on Dec. 19. “Print the #FBI ‘Missing’ poster and hang it outside your home, in the window of every business, or share our official social media posts.”

In another tweet, the FBI wrote, “There’s nothing we won’t do to #FindMadalina,” after it announced it was expanding its search to include Lake Cornelius.

Diana Cojocari, 37, and the girl’s stepfather, Christopher Palmiter, 40, were arrested on Saturday and charged with failure to report the disappearance of a child to law enforcement.
