PICO RIVERA, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials say nobody was hurt when gunfire erupted outside a Chuck E. Cheese’s restaurant, shattering windows and sending people fleeing.
City News Service reports the shots broke out Sunday night when two men apparently got into a dispute outside the restaurant in Pico Rivera.
Sgt. Sandy Crosthwaite says one of the men was seen driving off in a dark-colored car.
Investigators will review surveillance video in the hopes of identifying the men or capturing the car’s license plate number.
Several windows of the pizzeria and children’s fun center were shattered and at least two others had what appeared to be bullet holes.
A customer at the restaurant for her daughter’s seventh birthday says she hit the floor when she heard glass crashing and began looking for her kids.
