Police: Offender's GPS links him to woman's death

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a convicted sex offender in the death of a McMinnville woman whose burned body was found near a cave last month after his monitoring device linked him to the crime.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old Jimmy Byron Jones of Morrison on Thursday and charged him with first degree murder in the death of 58-year-old Connie Lou Godsey Brown.
