Republican presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina attempted to poke fun at Florida Sen. Marco Rubio’s footwear Wednesday, but instead shot herself in the foot.
At around 2 p.m. ET, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO tweeted a picture of her 3.5 inch heels, asking Rubio, who was spotted earlier Wednesday sporting a pair of stylish black boots on the trail in New Hampshire, if he could pull off a pair of heels.
Yeah, @marcorubio, but can you rock these? pic.twitter.com/1TLCAcwS9a

But as one reporter was quick to point out, Fiorina had literally stomped on her super PAC in her response to Rubio.
Did Fiorina’s campaign send @INJO a picture of her standing on her super PAC’s sign? https://t.co/w85zfMYMXV pic.twitter.com/5fqWG5Tmpp

A spokeswoman for the CARLY for America PAC did not respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.
