Metro is suspending Red Line service at all downtown D.C. stations the weekend after Labor Day.

Starting at 10 p.m. on Sept. 7, all stations from Farragut North to Union Station will be closed fas workers install new fiber optic cable for wireless communications as well as do trackwork and third rail upgrades.
