Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., said he would get in trouble with the Federal Communications Commission if he said what he really thinks about Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid.
Gowdy first called Reid, D-Nev., a “political hack” after Reid said FBI Director James Comey may have violated the Hatch Act with his announcement of newly discovered emails related to Hillary Clinton’s private server so close to the election.
“I can’t really use the word I want to use because it would get us in trouble with the FCC,” Gowdy said Monday morning on Fox News. “Yeah. So we’ll just go with political hack.”
Gowdy added, “This is the same guy that went on the floor of the Senate and said Mitt Romney didn’t pay taxes, so he is a political hack. And I would say more than that if I weren’t going to get fined by the FCC.”
