Funeral services will be held Thursday for senior D.C. police officer Frank Strother, who died after a medical incident while on his way to participate in a St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Strother, of the Special Operations Division, was taken to a hospital and after a lengthy struggle, passed away May 22.
The funeral will take place at the Jericho City of Praise, located at 8501 Jericho City Drive, Landover. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. to noon, immediately followed by the funeral service.
A motorcade procession will depart the church enroute to the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery. The procession will pass by Strother’s first Special Operations Division assignment, the Traffic Safety and Specialized Enforcement Branch, located at 501 New York Avenue NW before arriving at the cemetery.
