The Baltimore Development Corp. on Tuesday announced that it has selected the development teams for two sites in the Pigtown/Washington Village Business District, a designated Baltimore Main Street area.
Historic Pigtown Development LLC,has been awarded the contract for Site 1, which consists of 925, 927, 929, 931 and 937 Washington Blvd., to develop a $1.5 million mixed-use project consisting of residences above ground-level retail. 925 and 927 Washington Blvd. will be combined to create first-level retail with rental apartments on the second floor, while 929 through 937 Washington Blvd. will be combined with 1240 Cross St., which is currently owned by the developers, to create a ground-level 3,000-square-foot restaurant, 2,200 square feet of office space on the second level and rental apartments on the third level.
For Site 2, which consists of 761, 763, 765 and 767 Washington Blvd. and 760 Eislen St., the BDC has selected New City Partners LLC to create a $2.1 million mixed-use retail/residential development that will include a first-floor restaurant and rental apartments or condominiums on the second floor.
