Jennifer Love Hewitt wasn’t kidding about being in love with love. Though she just split with beau of one year Jamie Kennedy — to whom she dedicated her new book on, you guessed it, love — the “Ghost Whisperer” star has already moved on to a new beau.
The actress’s latest squeeze is John Asher, the actor-director ex-husband of Jenny McCarthy, who is said to have filmed a “Ghost Whisperer” guest spot earlier this year.
Life&Style magazine says J. Love was “spotted” with her new guy at a small dinner party and “Jennifer was all over him,” per a gawker. “They were holding hands and canoodling. She was not hiding her affection or attraction to him at all.”
“They are dating,” confirmed a People magazine source, who wouldn’t say for how long. “They’ve been spending a lot of time together and are having fun. He showers her with attention and is helping her move on from her breakup with Jamie.”
Keep in mind, this is the woman who recently gushed to USA Today, “I’m a hopeless romantic. I love love. My middle name is Love. Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday.” So, let’s just say our hopes for this rebound aren’t too high. Is there such a thing as love rehab?
Just Gossip?
In a drama-filled plotline worthy of their TV show, Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick of “Gossip Girl” have ended their romance, according to the New York Post. The paper claims the starlet got too close for comfort with one of her beau’s best buds, so-called “handsome heir” Marco Minuto.
“Jessica recently celebrated her birthday in L.A. and was being openly affectionate and flirty with Marco,” a source relayed. “They ended up back at the same hotel, but nobody knows what happened behind closed doors.”
“Her flirty behavior shocked a lot of their friends, so word quickly got back to Ed, who has been filming in Europe,” continued the source. “He immediately ended their relationship on the phone, and Jessica, who denied anything happened with Marco, was so distraught that she flew to London last Friday with just the clothes on her back. She’s been begging Ed to take her back, but he is deeply hurt.”
Unsurprisingly, the actress’s camp denied the tale. “She’s been celebrating her birthday with Ed in London,” a source close to Jessica maintained. We’ll look out for Ed and Jessica to be spotted together.
Nine-Time Bride?
Dame Elizabeth Taylor is rumored to be engaged to be married … for the ninth time. Us reports that the living-legend actress, 79, is engaged to Jason Winters, 49, who is Janet Jackson’s manager and has been La Liz’s love interest since 2007.
They haven’t confirmed the news yet, but a source tells Us magazine, “It’s no secret that they’ve been together forever and are in love, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they were engaged. Right now they are keeping it between them.”
