It turns out the man Metro officials believed was on the Red Line tracks Friday afternoon may have been nothing more than a Halloween apparition.
Metro spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said “a train operator thought he saw somebody on the tracks,” but an investigation by Metro security officials turned up nothing.
“[The train operator] thought he saw something, but there was nobody on the tracks,” Farbstein said.
Farbstein said all tracks are now open and operating as usual.
